“C’mon.”

“No.”

“Humor me.”

Saren ignored him and concentrated on the task at hand. The application was going through the sequencing, but so far it did not appear as if they had a match for the true culprit, or even his known associates.

“Just once.”

Thoughts of the salarian getting away in his private ship heavy on his mind, he replied tiredly: “Why?”

“It’s a colony thing.” Wonderful. Insistence. “For a job well done.” Nihlus kicked a nearby crate of contraband. “Really well done.”

“Fine.”

“You do it like this…”

Their fists met in a firm, strangely satisfying bump. Saren went back to work immediately. Just as well. At least it wasn’t one of those disgusting human gestures that Nihlus tended to pick up.
